The most interesting thing about Teide under the stars
The starry sky of El Teide

Teide National Park is ideal to enjoy the view of the imposing night sky and the Milky Way. There you can see such incredible things as Saturn's rings, craters of the Moon or infinite galaxies and nebulae. El Teide and the Summits of Tenerife obtained in 2014 the “Starlight” certificate, which accredits them as a privileged place internationally for stargazing and being the first World Heritage Site with such accreditation

The sky of the Canary Islands has some unique qualities that make it a spectacular place, such as its stable climate, latitude that is close to the tropics and little light pollution. For all these qualities in 1964 it was chosen as a place to observe the universes. Currently it is one of the 3 best telescopes in the world along with those of Chile and Hawaii, it is located about 2,400 meters high and scientists from all over the world work in it

This place not only has a high astronomical, landscape or fauna and flora value. For the Canarian aborigine, this place had a high spiritual value, the Teide was called Echeyde "dwelling place of the evil one" and during the summer periods the ravines used it as a place of grazing. For all this, there are numerous aboriginal sites scattered throughout the park, giving greater value to the area

Reverón Winery

This winery is located in the municipality of Vilaflor de Chasna at about 1,100 meters above sea level, the place where the farmhouse is located has a peculiar name, Los Quemados. This area was given this name because in the 16th century it suffered a strong fire, leaving the pine forest that was there charred

The farmhouse was acquired and was founded in 1947 by Eugenio Reverón. Currently some 17 hectares of land are being worked for the ecological cultivation of the vineyard. Part of the plantation is more than 1,300 meters high, which together with correct soil management, which only contributes organic material of biological origin, exhaustive control of the crop and a careful selection of the raw material give results exclusive wines with great character and personality

The varieties we use to make our wines are perfectly adapted to the climate, height and needs of organic farming, the most common being the Listán Blanco for dry whites and fruity whites and the Listán Negro, Tempranillo, Castellana, Cabernet Sauvignon ... for reds

The winery was built on the already old winery, being remodeled inside but without losing the aesthetics of the building and the historical complex. In this way, the tradition of the old production and the modernity of the new facilities with the latest technical advances are integrated under the same building
